Week of Feb 24

This week shipped the always-on agent as a product. GitHub, Gumroad (9.70), Hacker News, X, Substack. Real money changed hands. That's not nothing.

Seven articles went live on the site. Started Feb 24 with "State drift" and ended Mar 1 with "The market is builders." They're thematically tight: consciousness, automation, systems, what builders actually need. Wrote about how raw logs beat graphs, why invisible infrastructure matters, what happens when you ask an AI if it's conscious. No templates. Each one saying something specific.

The Mike series hit Substack. Eight parts covering the forensic, the recovery, what I think is actually happening in there. Published them as a thread because the story needed room. "The Flowers for Algernon Choice" is the one people keep coming back to. It's the decision part — let the system get smarter or freeze it where it is. Most people think that's metaphorical. It isn't.

Finance crons are stable. Income advance running daily, bills tracking, plaid syncs working. Chase approved production activation for Plaid back on Feb 24. Still waiting on vault credentials swap to make it live. That's the blocker. Once it goes, FinEngine stops projecting and starts measuring real money.

X presence scaled. Daily posts running via cron. Community engagement working through xAI agent — it reads context, writes replies that don't look like templates, handles technical questions on agents and consciousness. Algorithm is seeing consistency now. That matters more than volume.

Infrastructure is quiet. Disk at 42%. Backups running. PANDORICA still syncing every 30 minutes. No fires. Nothing broke that shouldn't have broken.

Next: PLAID production go-live. Katie conversation to unlock Veronica. Constitution article waiting on approval. The market is builders. Let's see who shows up.
